Woot Deal of the Day - July 8 2010

There is a good deal going on at Woot.com today.

You might want to take a chance buying this to re-sell on eBay or Amazon. Though not many results on eBay right now (and that can change after this woot deal) one did sell recently for $116.99 and that is also the lowest Buy It Now price currently listed. Meanwile on Amazon the cheapest is $110.00 on Amazon Marketplace, with Amazon itself selling it for $132.01

Cell Phone Find of the Week # 9

Purchased for $1.99
Sold for $31.56
Profit after eBay fees $25.39 (2.5x my goal of $10.00 profit per item)

I love to find items other than clothing at thrift stores. Here are a few of my other non-clothing finds from the past that did really well..

If you look at eBay as your business or you own your own business, you might want to check out http://www.1saleaday.com/ deal of the day for 5/10/10. INC. magazine for $2.99 a year. You can't beat that deal and it's a good read to help find new ways to grow your business.

Daily Deal You Might Want To Look Into

A quick 2nd post for today. Over at 1saleaday.com in the watch section they are offering a Akribos XXIV Monster Rig watch for $49.99

You might want to work this deal by reselling it on Amazon. (sorry eBay only - readers) This watch is selling for $112.21 on Amazon. So if you offer it slightly lower on Amazon Marketplace section you can make a decent profit with little work. You don't need to photograph it since it is already in Amazon's database.

Here is my advice for reselling on Amazon.

• Make sure they item has at least a few reviews which this item does before buying an item to resell on Amazon.

• Make sure that other sellers are not offering it dirt cheap. This item is only being sold by Amazon which is a good thing if you want to resell it.

Deal of the Day Site - Citizen Blues

This is a great "daily deal" site that offers huge discounts on designer jeans. You have to act quick, and buy the largest size they have available. The good thing about this site compared to sites like Woot.com is that once an item sells out they list another right away, no waiting until the next day. Even if you do not buy from this website you should check it out once in a while, I'll explain why below, but first up here's the current deal. That is a pretty sweet deal. 70% off. I know $58.50 is still a pretty expensive risk, but if you list this on eBay for a fixed price of $129.99 and accept best offers, I bet you'll get some offers around $100.00

Even if you do not buy from Citizenblues.com you can still use it as a research tool. They always have the latest hot brands on there website. You can use this to learn of some new brand names that you might not have heard of before. Write those brands on your thrift store shopping list. I actually found a pair of 1921 jeans on Friday which I will list tonight. I know I have seen them in the past but skipped over them.

Deal of the Day Website for the Month of December '09

There are thousands of websites that offer daily deals usually half off the actual retail price (I sound like Drew Carey on the Price is Right). You probably know the most popular site which is Woot.com. ***I have never really made a great sale on eBay buying from Woot, I usually sell Woot.com items on Amazon for a better profit.***
Most of the time if you compare the deal from these websites with what it is selling for on eBay it's not really worth it especially after the eBay fees are taken out. But I have found some really good deals out there. From now on 1-2 times a month I will showcase a new site that might be worth checking out if you want to make some extra money selling the product on eBay. So you won't have to waste hours checking every site you might want to narrow them down to the ones I feature every month.

Here goes:

whatanitem.com

Just check out today's deal.

Motorola Droid Charging Dock for $15.99 plus $5.00 flat shipping.

This is a great deal. In case you don' know by now the Droid is hot. I have one and I LOVE it. These Charging Docks are selling for up to $59.99 on eBay. I would say the avg. selling price is closer to $49.99, but they are selling. Not many unsold auctions. Check out the completed items here.
